Chandru Rajendran is an Indian entrepreneur working at the intersection of deep-tech hardware and manufacturing. He is the Founder and CEO of Procurio, a tech-enabled managed sourcing and manufacturing company based in Bengaluru, launched in April 2025, and previously founded Airdonex Technologies.
Airdonex (2021 to 2024) was India’s first autonomous organ delivery drone company, which he wound down in 2024. He holds a B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from SRM IST Chennai, where he received a gold medal for his research on drones. His background spans procurement strategy, business development, and building hardware ventures from the ground up.
He serves as a Principal Member at the Bureau of Indian Standards, Government of India, contributing to the policy and standards framework for drones in India.
Procurio helps global OEMs and manufacturing companies source and manufacture in India without friction, drawing on deep supplier networks and the operational lessons of running a hardware startup. The company works as a full-stack procurement partner, focused on large manufacturers in aerospace, defence, and energy.
Chandru writes regularly on LinkedIn and X about Indian manufacturing, procurement challenges, and supply chain localization, with a focus on making procurement more operational and less theoretical.
